Attractive copper gold in color. Bright hop aroma. Fine balance between malt and hops. I like the bready caramel malt flavor. Low carbonation tickles the tongue. A very good bitter.

Had in Cincinnati, found at The Party Source across the river. Rich, sweet roast malt flavor and hop bitter tang hit you at the same time. Slight sour apple after taste. A real mid-west treat.

Very nice malt/hop mixture. Hints of sweetness are nicely balanced with a floral, medium bitterness hop aroma. Appealing deep copper color with a touch of roasted malt flavor. Never thought anything this good could come out of the Cuyahoga River.

What an interesting beer! I don’t recall being a big ESB fan - but this stuff is great! Very thick taste.

Loved the aroma this ale has, great looking pour from the bottle. Nice sweet malt up front with a good solid hoppy finish.

Sampled at the Peoria Int'l Beer Festival. Orange-yellow with a small white head. Aroma is a nice meld of caramel malts and bitter hops. Flavor is initially bitter, but finishes malty sweet. Acidic aftertaste. Fantastic balance; the best of both worlds (hops and malt).

Smells like...Hey, I don't smell anything!? (at least it ain't skunked). Anyway, it seemed like an IPA mixed with an oktoberfest to me. Maybe that's what it should be like - a good hop/malt mix. Pretty good stuff.

Very faint caramel malt in the aroma, along with a goodly amount of spicy, piney hop and something like very slight yeast...a very beery scent! Medium orange-amber in color with a lasting head and delicate lacing. Flavor is hoppy, more spice, pine and a faint swish of citrus, followed by amber, caramel malt flavors and balancing nicely just before and on into the finish. Aftertaste is gently bitter and full of hop flavor. Unassuming and enjoyable.
