UPDATED: OCT 26, 2022 Fairly clear, but ever so slightly hazy blonde and golden coloured body with a nice thick, three to four centimetre tall just off-white head. Aroma of big yeast and bready notes with a lot of residual sugars along with some stone fruits and a good crisp citrus quality and a lot of floral complexity, perhaps from the hops, but the malt and especially the yeast stand out here. Medium-bodied; Rich malty, bready and especially yeastie notes come through everything here with a lot of floral, grassy and herbal elements along with a crisp hop bite that comes through everything and finishes off with a robust sweetness, mainly from the stone fruits, but some also derived from honey it seems. Aftertaste shows the good balance of malt and sugars with a light hoppiness, but bigger crispness from the grassy and herbal side of things, all finished nicely by the noticeable alcohol. Overall, a very nice, complex, robust and malty beer with a lot of sugars and yeast, but the clean malts and slightly crisp hops make this robust and complex, while being fairly easy-drinking! Great to sample of course, and while I probably had sampled this before, this was my first rating of the beer! I sampled this tall, 33 cL bottle purchased from Del Haize [grocery] in the centre of Bruxelles, Belgium on 18-January-2015 for only €1,45, a few days after my second daughter was born, but with my friend - Thanks Phil for the memories!

UPDATED: DEC 1, 2018 Flasche in einem Restaurant In Antwerpen Rot-brauner Körper. Aroma: Malz, Hefe, Hopfen Wenig bitter und Hopfig. Malzsüße, Honig, aber auch Zitrus.

Nawet jak na piwa belgijskie Achel Blond jest bardzo mocno wysycony. Wyraźnie słodowy, wręcz słodki, z drożdżowym posmakiem. Troszkę owocowe i wyraźnie przyprawowe, kolejna klasyka belgijskiego piwowarstwa.

Bière blonde cuivrée, avec une bonne mousse blanche, un nez assez amer, un goût un peu amer, de vieux fruits, assez semblable au palais...

From a bottle into a tulip glass. Pours a rich gold with head and lace. Aroma of amber malt, slight candy sugar, fresh bread. Significant carbonation and mouthfeel. Flavors of amber malts, grains, slight honey, slight field herbs, powder sugar, oak. Overall, rich and tasty, fresh or aged.

33cl bottle.Appearance: A hazy yellow body with a medium sized white head, that leaves fair lacing. Aroma:malts, yeast,cereals, banana, lemon. Taste: lightly herbal, lightly bitter. some lemon and banana with some cereals. Average to medium body and carbonation. (backlog rating)

Tap@ de Achelse Kluis. Helder blond bier met een mooie plakkraag. Ruikt fris hoppig, gist. Hoppig, gist en vaagzurig in smaak. Bitterwaterige afdronk. Goed te drinken op een warme dag.

Molto buona ed equilibrata fin.dal primo assaggio. Gusto pieno, molto aromatico e persistente.

This beer is nice, red brown colored and it has a nice slightly sweet taste.

Sample at the brewery, blond beer, small head. aroma is yeast, hops some malts. Taste is the same. ok beer.
