22oz bottle. Pours a hazy amber. Big head. Almost a rye like nose with some definite black pepper and toffee aromas, I get some definite cherry notes too. The flavor has some great cherry sourness up front and a ton of crazy spiciness from the black pepper. I think its a little to heavy on the pepper but the finish is a very grain heavy caramel finish. Again I thought of a rye beer. Very odd. This is different and great though. Very well made.

Bottle from The Cracked Kettle, Amsterdam. Dark brown with a stable tan head. Farmyard, sour fruit and chocolate aromas. Sourly fruit flavours dominate, prunes, hints of citrus and dry chocolate. Orange zest. Very complex.

Aroma:earthy, citrus, caramel, lime maybe some grassy notes aswell. Deffinately brings up "sour"-expectations when smelling. You can smell that it has a malty counter to the sourness as well. Appearance: Foam forms as a ring around the sides of the glass. Clear. Dark orange/light brown. Very clear Taste: Grape and plum. The aftertaste is very long. Light on the bitterness. Meduim sour. Sweet and sour. The sour reminds me of sour green apples coated with caramel. Palate: Light carb Overall: Interesting. More sour than expected, could need a bit more funk.

The aroma is sour and slightly cheesy but mostly sweet and floral with a touch of citrus. The appearance is cloudy amber/orange with a medium foamy head. The taste is like the aroma and a bit corked. The palate is smooth. Overall this is to style but not to my liking.
