Commercial Description:
We Consider this an extreme version of an American Pale Ale. It has a very up front floral and citrus aroma from a late cascade addition and dry hopping with Amarillo. This beer also has a big malt background to balance the bitterness of the hops. The rye malt cleans up your palette after you swallow so the hop flavor does not stick in your mouth too long.
Now available in bottles.

Dark yellow with some haze. Whisp of a head. Mild aroma of honey and hops. Clean, somewhat sweet malty flavor with a nice, lightly resinous hop character displaying citrus and spice. Decent body. Well balanced bitterness. Easy drinking ale.

draft at redlight redlight. pours a tarnished gold with a lacy white head. slight rye and hop aroma on the nose. good though not all that bold. the flavor is a little bitter though very light. not all that complex but a really drinkable session beer nevertheless.

pours amber orange with a fluffy, quickly dissipating white head. nose of floral and citrus hops; amarillo are very apparent. maybe a little cereal and sour apple. flavor is caramel, citrus, and rye grains. finish is cereal flavor and light floral and lemon. soft and bubbly. finish dries it out a bit.

I didn’t keep notes on this one. I know that I liked it, but I do not remember much about it. Drank it second of four samples in a flight at The Nook. Should probably have it again to give it a more fair shake.

Even with an aggressive I was left with a quick dissipating head and a few large bubbles. The APA itself matched the rye and medium bitterness well together.

Bottle. Pours a dark gold color. This was wonderfully balanced beer that had both a strong hop taste and a strong malt one. Aroma was more on the hoppy side with a slight caramel sweet note. Pretty good.

The bottle I had was a few months past the exp date, but here we go. Pours a nice gold with a decent white head. The nose has a decent amount of citrus hop bitterness and some malt backbone. Similar in the mouth, but the rye definitely gives it a bitter dryness on the swallow. Good session beer, but I’m not a huge fan.

Bottle. Golden with a thin head. Aromas are spicy with caramel and rye bread. Light pine, quite hoppy. Flavours are sweet caramel malts with earthy, sweet hops. Expect rye notes with floral notes. Hoppy on the finish. Decent.
