T: malt, grassy bitterness, yeasty, herbal, light citrus, coriander, orange peels, medium body, good carbonation, not bad, 33cl bottle in shopping centre Serfontana in Morbio Inferiore in Switzerland.

Bottle from a Coop somewhere in the Mesocco Valley. A very light Helles: Barely recognizable hops and malt, rather has the tartness and acidity of a simple cider. Dirty corny malt in the nose besides that, but really almost water. Ugly.

Aroma: light floral hops, grain malts. Appearance: slightly hazy gold, medium, frothy, white head. Taste: light bitter. Palate: very mild bitters continue, floral hops again, malts, grain, light bread, yeast. Overall: OK Lager, nothing special though. Bottle from the brewery, Stabio.

Grainy German style lager beer with a slight fruity touch, fitting for the region it’s comming from, the Swiss-Italian Ticino.

Hazy golden with white head. Nice hoppy aroma, citrus and herbal. At taste is light bitter with some good zesty flavour.

Bouteille 33cl du Grain d’Orge, Crissier, BB 22-03-2014. Dorée claire, col blanc fin. Arôme donne de suite un bouquet nauséabond de pomme-tannin rappelant ce côté frais fruité vert et possible signe d’infection de style aldéhyde. Palais reste similaire avec pas mal de notes de pommes vertes, pelure et un arrière gout herbacé et houblonné. Effervescence est haute laissant un fini amer râpeux. Malt de style carapils, munich mais je n’arrive pas à passer au delà du profile pomme. Dommage surtout que la série Bad Attitude m’avait fait plaisir.

Bottle 33 cl from Au Grain d’Orge - Neuchâtel (CH). Muddy blonde with a short head and crackling allegro. Aromas of fresh cereals, citrusy hop and honey. Taste of cereals, bitter-sweet, hop citrus note. Nice and fresh, with a hoppy character final and a point of acridity.
