Just like most Sam Adams, middle of the road goodness, doesnt venture too far out of the box of what a beer should taste like. So in the end, nothing special, I’m sure they are going for mass appeal, just not something Ill look out for.

Clear mahogany, big foamy head fades. Aroma of spiced caramel apple. Taste is toasty and sweet with mild spice. Slightly bitter finish. Medium light body, lively carbonation.

Pours a deep golden-red, with a white head. A warm dark wheat beer with just a hint of spice. Very nice, thumbs up.

Oh most beloved of all thy great Samuel Adams seasonals, you warm the heart and soul with thy richness and bounty. Most excellent of the winter lagers whose noble and satisfying taste testifies to the greatness of the Creator’s intentions to satisfy mans desires.

Bottle/ tap: This reddish brown, Sam "macro" dissapoints. I love the brewery but this one FAILS... there is not much to the taste, some muddy malts and spices, slight hop notes. This winter brew makes me wish for spring!

Clear brownish amber with decent head and no lace. Aroma of sweet malt, sweet ripe fruit, maybe sweet potatoes, and spices, especially cinnamon. iight mouthfeel. Tastes empty at first, then light roast, lots of sweetness, spiciness like a spiced rum, cinnamon, little bit of nutmeg. Not much from the hops, clean finish. Not bad, but not much there.

It’s hazy, dark red amber and the head is creamy. The aroma has notes of fruit and caramel, and so does the moderately sweet flavour and the finish has some dry notes of citrus. It’s soft, full and quite delicious.
