| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 2, 2010 I have tried this beer many times over the past two years but just now got around to reviewing it.
Pours a reddish brown with an off-white head. The aroma is strong citrus hops with some pine. The flavor is grapefruit, pine and orange. The orange is much stronger than the last times I have tried this beer, with a strong pithy orange flavor being dominant. Medium mouthfeel and low carbonation. BarZigKin (91), The Colony, Texas, USA

Pours a glowing amber body with a fluffy, beige head that recedes and leaves lots of sticky lacing. Nose is bready, caramel malt and floral/orange hops. Big malt backbone balances the medium piney, citrus hops well. Slightly syrupy, with a medium body. Great pine/citrus lingering bitter finish. Another great beer from Oskar!! satan165 (666), River Grove, Illinois, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jan 30, 2010 huge malt aroma hits me 2’ from the glass: strong caramelized toffee. up close, aroma is toffee with sweetish peanut brittle like edge. appearance is wonderful marroon with fine head and immedate lacing. flavor is bracing bitterness with juicy orange hop character backed by truckloads of strong caramel malt. big beer all around that starts as the ’IAA’ oskar blues describes with hops that reveal in scores with a fruity edge. p00lshark95 (3), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA does not count | 4.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 20/20 | Jan 27, 2010 this beer is unbelievable. has everything i want in a beer. it is bitter but is well balanced by malts and has drinkiability!!! I did not like this DIPA at all. I thought it was overly sweet and thick. It reminded me of candy (not in a good way) in aroma and flavor. I actually couldn’t finish it. On reputation alone it deserves a re-taste but not anytime soon.
