Grapefruity hop nose with hints of metal. Furious grapefruit hop attack, some softening caramel flavours, but overall quite hardcore bitter. Raisins and nuts in the finish. Full-bodied, almost sirupy. Makes its canned statement loud and clear. Ibrew2or3 (2987), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Mar 5, 2007 By far the most expensive can I’ve ever seen in a bottle shop. The cheapest I’ve seen it is $3.50ea. At half the price I’d be drinking this beauty all the time. Poured clear clean polished copper with thin tan head. The aroma is pretty big with roasted biscuit, an almost a wood note and sweet tangelo to grapefruit hops. The flavor hits the senses with citrus hops. The moment you have enough time to sense and identify the hops a wide truck load of sweet, roasted and hints of biscuit malts take over the flavor. Yes, sizable malt. Then as the malts recede away the tasty citrus hops re-surface and usher you into the aftertaste. DougShoemaker (2981), Toronto, Canada

Poured amber in color. Good, off-white head. Great lacing. Clear and sparkling. Flavor = hops! Tastes of pine. Heavily bitter with a long bitter finish. Well balanced. Medium body. Lively carbonation. Great double IPA. Very fresh. Beershine (2918), Vancouver, for now,, British Columbia, Canada
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 24, 2008 Really hazy, deep rusty orange color with thick tan head and lacing. Rustic, rusty, earthy hopped nose. Smells thick. Soft but enthusiastic carbonation. Sweet entry, passing through layers of caremelized fruits before rounding out to a crisp hop finish. Bready without being burnt. Chewy but very nice. 5000 (2913), Hardened Liver, Washington, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 14, 2006 Can: Fiery caramel, moderate beige head, foamy, very nice lacing.   Caramel malt nose, bready, slightly earthy with some citrus peel bringing up the rear.   Whole wheat start, lots of citrus rind and tea leaf.   Big malt chewiness, with an earthy finish.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate to full.   Hop bitterness is moreso sweet than bitter.   Clean, a bit more earthy than what I like, but pretty damn tasty.   Thanks to Larry for the can, and mattbob for a year old bottle.
