UPDATED: DEC 28, 2022 Bottle shared on the train during the Bamberg Post Christmas Jolly - January 2014. Pours clear honey-gold with a creamy head. Somewhat bland, notes of toasted cereal, light paper, caramel. Light bodied with massaging carbonation. Sweet finish with some bread, cereal, light dried caramel. So so.

UPDATED: JAN 4, 2022 Optisch klar und schön bernsteinfarben mit schöner feiner Perlage. Die weiße, feinporige Schaumkrone zeigt sich wässerig-flaumig und hat eine moderate Haltbarkeit. In der Duftaromatik sehr zurückhaltend und beinahe neutral. Lediglich eine leicht süßlich-fruchtige, weinige Note lässt sich wahrnehmen. Der Antrunk kommt spritzig, frisch und angenehm röstig. Erinnert sofort an dunkle Brotrinde. Am Gaumen ebenso leicht süßlich und vor allem sehr röstmalzbetont - erinnert auch sofort an dunkle Brotrinde, da sich eine passende Herbe dazulegt. Ansonst eher unspektakulär und einfältig, aber nicht schlecht. Von Trinkspaß kann zwar keine Rede sein, aber einem ganz passablen Trinkfluss tut das keinen Abbruch. Und auch wenn es sehr einfach gehalten ist, ist dieses Bier durchaus okay. Im Abgang kommen die süßlich-malzigen und röstig-herben Aromen nochmal kurz auf, flachen aber doch rasch ab. Eine leicht herbe Hopfennote bleibt letztendlich über. Mein Fazit: Nichts besonderes, aber auch nichts schlechtes - Preis/Leistung passt hier auf jeden Fall.

UPDATED: SEP 9, 2021 500 ml can. Pours cloudy deep copper pour with a off-white head. Aroma and flavour of malt, caramel, bread, straw and with a bitter finish.

UPDATED: JUL 14, 2021 Can from Prix. Amber color, hazed, sticky offwhite foamy head. Weird smell of must and spilled wine. Flavor of malt extract, chemical, vaguely fruity/estery with some sour notes, wet grains, dirt, grass. Solvent notes in the finish with metallic bitterness. Not THAT bad actually in the mouth, but yeah that's the deal for a discount oriended product.

UPDATED: MAR 18, 2021 Tall Boy can from Yamaya. Malty nose, but on second appraisal more like malt extract, with very light fruitiness. Hazy dark copper/orange color. Flavors of caramel, light toasted malt, flour powder, and tiny final bitterness. Body seems a little thin for the style. It more or less goes flat in flavor from mid palate to final. Very much a one-dimensional and sort of disappointing beer.

UPDATED: JAN 9, 2021 Caramel malt, deep copper color, sweet caramel taste with some bitterness, thin with average carbonation. Regular Märzen I'd say.
