Commercial Description:
With its amber-mahogany coloring and streaked with fine top-fermented yeast, this beer has a fine, persistent head that adheres well to the glass. It is pleasantly fruity with a typical top-fermented smell, an aroma of clove and nutmeg apple tantalizes the nose. On the tongue it is fresh, clean, full-bodied, harmonious and well-balanced. It finishes with a light, delicate taste of bitters leaving behind a sour impression.

Schneider Weisse is gaining popularity (and becoming available) all over the world as a model German style Hefeweizen. This brew has a sweet creamy fruityness (bananas, pears) coupled with a complex touch of almonds and cloves. Drinking is best in summer as a great thirst quencher (if you do not have to drive, with 5.5% ABV it is rather strong) or to accompany some coarse meal.

500 ML Bottle-Amber/Mahogany color w/a white foamy head. Light fruit aroma. A lot darker than your standard Hefe, more of a dark fruit, plum, malt flavor, but not enough malt to be a Weizen Bock. Beer seemed to kind of wander, kind of lost. No real definite style, like they couldn’t decide what they wanted to brew so they just threw a bunch of stuff @ it & saw what stuck. Not much did. Didn’t really jump out @ me like their their Edel-Weisse. Average @ best I’d call it a disappointment.

Had this again recently & enjoyed it a lot more, Dark fruit flavor w/a nice sweet malt finish. Maybe the first one I had was just a bad sample, or maybe I’ve "grown" as a beer drinker. I’d recomend this.

Bottle, golden brown with a hint of haze, a sweet aroma with a grass/hay hint. This has a fruity-fresh taste with a definite wheat flavor. Very enjoyable

500ml bottle...picture perfect brownish-orange (yeah, it’s Cleveland f-ball season soon!) with a head that thickly sits and dissipates evenly...clove is evident and pleasant, and I have (as seemingly always with weizens) a hint of banana?....the mouthfeel may be among the softest I’ve sampled...the refeshing aspect of this beer is difficult to quantify...a brilliantly drinkable beer, more than at home in the humid August evenings...

Bottle. Classic german hefe aroma, taste very much to style. A good Dunkelweizen, can’t go wrong with this one.
