Dark copper color with a nice sized tan head. Aroma is a subtle maltiness with some hops. Taste is also matly with a nice hop kick, caramel, and roastiness. Definitely not too sweet, very nice balance of flavors in an amber ale.

Bottle, poured a dirty amber color with an off white head. Aroma of caramel, bread, fruit and yeast. Some sweetness. Flavor was really sweet with a good dose of caramel and fruit. Kind of gross in some ways. Disappointing.

Out of a 12 ounce bottle in a pint glass. Pours a chestnut brown with a tan head that lingers on the side of the glass. The aroma is very surprising with massive caramel grains that seem a little stale. I did not expect this. Taste is unlike an amber, but lots of sweet malt and an interesting tingly finish. Seems to have aspects of a sour after the mid-palate. I don’t know what to make of this.

This 12 oz bottle from a six pack poured a dark amber with a good robust off-white head and light lacing rings. The nose is stronly of caramel malts with some light floral hops in the background. Medium body and mouthfeel. The flavor shows mostly the malts but there are plenty of hops to round it off. The finish is dry. Good amber.

12oz bottle, World Market Winter mixer. Pours deep amber, thin head with ok retention. Some lacy patterns on glass. Light malt with lighter hop aromas. Really light, lager light flavor with a mild hop bitterness. Kind of odd sourness at end. Lots of mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Poured from bottle into Nonic Imperial Pint. Dark, semi-hazy reddish amber with decent head. Aroma of sweet floral malts with citrus hop tinge. Semi-sweet malts upfront, turning more toward citrus hops in the middle, and finishing with a touch of bitterness. The bitterness seems almost more English than American. Somewhat high carbonation, medium body, surprisingly dry finish considering the upfront sweetness. Much more interesting than the average amber (probably due to the dryness), and ultimately very drinkable. Pleasantly surprised by this. After my second bottle, I feel this is almost a cross between an American Amber and an English Bitter.

Deep amber color...fluffy head that laces well. Balanced aroma, with a bold maltiness and noticeable hop undertones. Flavors of caramel and brown sugar are very much present in the front...mouthfeel is slightly crisp. Back has somewhat of a floral hop character, but still maintains a nice balance. Finish is pretty mild, with a slight hop tang. A very full flavored, yet extremely balanced brew...one of the best ambers I’ve tasted.

Amber with a medium slowly dissipating beige head that laces nicely. Aroma of caramel, grains, dust and a hint of citrus. Taste of citrus, mild caramel malt and some vegetation. Pretty mild on the taste front and mildly over carbonated.
