Dark amber color, looks like lots of specialty malt went into this, not your typical IPA. Aroma is subtle but hoppy, more british that PNWern. Flavor is full of bittering hops but doesn't quite have the level of floral hops that I like in an IPA.

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 9, 2010 Sample at the "Portland? Psh More Like Beerland" tasting on 03/10/10. This brew is a hazy orange color with a thin and fluffy off-white head that dissipates to an outer ring eventually. Stringy lacing on the glass. Piney hops and citrus in the nose. Medium body with a moderately bitter hops profile that has piney and citrusy notes. There is a touch of malt present for balance too. The finish is hoppy with a lingering bitterness left behind. Solid IPA all around. philbertk (758), Seattle, Washington, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 21, 2010 Draft at the Toad House. Orange with a moderate white head on it. Has a nice piney hop aroma with a whiff of caramel. Flavor starts with that caramel, and has a bitter hop finish that’s just a bit astringent. The hop flavors are herbal, floral, and leafy, piney, resinous, and slightly spicy. Overall, quite awesome with delicious pizza. brenn79 (278), Idaho, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jan 31, 2010 7/28/09 on draft at Uber, Seattle. Aroma is extremely citrusy, sweet from malt blends. Appearance is hazy tan/gold with a well maintained white head and good lacing. Flavor is highly citrus with moderate malt, near perfect balance and moderate bittering. Mouthfeel is medium-full bodied with medium bittering and a slightly astringent finish. Overall, not a ’wow’ IPA in terms of strength, but you can taste the care taken and quality of the brew throughout. TLNash886 (187), Idaho, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 26, 2010 12 oz bottle pours a cloudy burnt orange color with some off white head into a tulip. Dark as hell for an IPA. Floral aroma of hops, caramel malts, honey. Soft hops upfront; more subdued with caramel malts, lemon, honey, tea. Finishes bolder with stronger, resiny hops and a near burnt sugar quality. Frothy mouthfeel, quite soft on the palate really. Medium bodied with an appropriate mid line live of carbonation. A well balanced, sweet IPA. Refreshing, drinkable, and more palatable than many of its brethren in my opinion. unclemattie (2567), Georgia, USA
