Commercial Description:
Bright sunrise orange in color, this American IPA is boldly hopped with East Kent Goldings, Cascade and locally grown hop varieties to give an intense yet powerfully smooth bitterness. The subtle caramel maltiness only accents the citrus hop highlights. Dry hopped with an incredible 2-1/2 pounds per barrel, this American style IPA is handcrafted to be extraordinarily refreshing.

These boys know how to brew a beer. Not what I was expecting from a CNY winery when I picked up a couple of IPas and Dopplebocks. An almost unsurpassed hop floral bouquet awaits and a fine hopped up but balanced brew. This can compete with the best of them. A rave is in order for a 3-rating beer. I'll try another to make sure I/m not spouting off, but second only to DFH 90 in my opinion.

Bottle. Deep amber in color with a white head. Not much of a head, minimal lacing. Flavor is actually quite good. A nice hop bite with some pine flavor....fading away into a nice caramel sweetness. Not much of a sharp finish, goes down very easy. Would buy this again.

12 ounce bottle. Pours a clear amber hue with a medium white head and sticky lacing. The aroma is caramel, rich citrus hops. The flavor is nice; caramel and earthy malts, bitterness, English hops, light tropical fruit and bitter in the finish. Nice. Easygoing.

12 oz bottle via Mys Swap 4.0 (thanks j12601!). Pours a clear copper with a HUGE HUGE chunky beige head. Nose is perfumy. Taste on this is of....an old bitter shoe? Dusty, dirty, earthy hops. Spices. Green beans... I almost wonder if this is infected considering the huge huge head? No real sourness, but just OFF, in a big way. I cannot imagine anyone would make a beer to actually taste like this on purpose? Whatever, down the drain she goes.

Bottle. Pours a clear ruby hued caramel amber with a large lightly tanned beige head. Big clean citrus hops with a nice caramel note. Medium to thick bodied, but the nice hop notes from the nose give way to a big cardboard flavor and a lot of empty malt. Finishes bitter. Just bracingly bitter with no subtlety or balance. Started off with some promise but fell flat.

Deep copper pour with creamy off white head and lace. Medium hop aroma, apples, caramel malt. Semi sweet malt with a nice resiny bitter. Thin and watery with smooth carbonation.

12oz bottle-pours a foamy rich light tan head that laces and copper color. Aroma is resin/some citrus rind, sweet caramel-medium malt. Taste is light resin/some citrus rind hops bite, sweet caramel-medium malt. Nice, easy IPA, may be a bit thin. Thanks decaturstevo for sharing.

had this on tap at the Hotel in Corning. Very nice IPA, sl haze golden color, some florals and mostly about the hops all the way to the bitter finish. Not much play by Malt.

Pours a mahogany body with an off white head. Strong pine and hop resins with a hint of copper. Pine grass and a moderate amount of caramel malt to balance. Strong cloying bitter earthy almost metallic lingering. Wouldn’t drink again.
