On tap at What’s Brewing 2015, day 2. Black body with a light brown head. Licorice aroma with chocolate, alcohol and roast. Bitter espresso taste with red fruits, plum, chocolate. Feels thinner than the brunch but kind of hard to compare without having them side by side. Lovely dark roast and fruit finish.

Bottle. 3-4 years old. Heavy roast aroma, chocolate, licorice, thick dark fruit, sweet and boozy and fumey. Dark brown, some lace. Scorched malt, chocolate, small buzzing coffee notes, vanilla, berries, bit of soy sauce -- got it all. Thick and warming. Hides alcohol in flavors very well. Coffee seems to have faded somewhat. Wonderful stuff.
