Pours pitch black. Small head. Coffee, chocolate, wood and bitterness flavours are well balanced. Full-bodied. Stands out miles from the O’Hara’s Celtic Stout.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: OCT 22, 2012 Cask @ Farringtons. Dark ebony pour, medium beige head. Aroma: malt, tar, vanilla, whisky, peat. Initially bitter and slightly dry. Very faint hint of aniseed. Malty, nutty/vanilla sweetness precedes a slight bitterness. Whisky warmth comes through at the very end. Delighted to have rated it, not sure when i will see it again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy
