| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Dec 7, 2006 The 22 oz. brown bomber held a beer that looked standard IPA amber, with some chill haze. The head was well proportioned at two fingers-thick, and receded to a craggy undulating for with a good deal of lace around the walls of the pint glass. The aroma was leafy green and pungent, but a little weak IMO. The perceived bitterness was about as high as I have ever run across. It clung to my teeth, made my cheeks contact, and singed my sinuses with vapors on the way down. This was fresh, catty, refreshing, and just undeniably hoppy. In other words exactly what an IPA is supposed to be, but what most brewers don’t brew. If you are not a true hophead, I am afraid you might fin this unbalanced, but to me it was un-put-downable. I am sure there was enough malt that they started out with to get this to a 6.6% ABV, but the hops never ever let a tinge of sweetness creep in. I drained my only bomber in about half an hour and the only thought lingering in the back of my mind was I need to stock up on this ASAP. If it wasn’t for the mild smell, this would kick Ruination from here to San Diego.

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 7, 2010 Pours a hazy copper color with a tall, bubbly white head that sticks to the glass very nicely. Aroma has a strong caramel, mild bourbon note, strong bitterness with mild notes of citrus and light floral. Flavor has a strong orange citrus, a smooth caramel sweetness, a very unique hop bitterness that has a flavor reminiscent of vanilla. Body is modest but with a crisp feeling and very low carbonation gives it a very creamy feeling. Overall a good brew with a very unique hoppiness from the single hop type used. The extreme bitterness with the solid sweet malty notes really makes this brew work very well.

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Feb 26, 2010 Pours orangey clear dark amber with decent of-white head htat leaves sticky lace and disappears quickly. Very weak aroma of sweet citrussy and slightly flowery hops. Medium mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Mild citrus bite to start, then piney and grapefruit hop bitterness in the finish that lasts. Alcohol is a little peppery. Not bad, but not very complex. Arayaga2 (1013), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 22, 2010 Opaque amber with a thin white head with big speckled bubbles. Aroma is sweet with caramel malts, and rather unagressive citrusy hops. Taste has a bit of grass, with bitterness primarily as a sensation without much hop character. Bready malt shows up halfway into a pretty clean finish. $6/22oz MesandSim (6262), London, Greater London, England
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 20, 2010 A Mes rate. Bottle at home with Mario and Warren. Amber gold with a decent white head. Slightly resinous and herbal on the nose. Not particularly assertive, but sometimes that’s a good thing. Nice and cheesey hoppage in the mouth. Good citric notes, nicely resinous and a decent clean bitter finish. Not challenging in anyway, just a straight forward, innocent and enjoyable fresh hoppy beer. Good stuff. illidurit (1015), Santa Cruz, California, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 11, 2010 Bomber poured into a pint glass. Pours hazy orange with a modest beige head. Aroma is floral with some sweeter citrus tones and an iced tea crystal malt note. Flavor is similar, lots of caramel and crystal malts with a solid citrusy hoppiness. Pretty even hop/malt ratio here, which is not a plus in my book. Not very bitter, well-carbonated, medium body. Pretty decent IPA but doesn’t distinguish itself from a million other IPAs.
