Created after the hoppy ales brewed in the 1700’s for the long journey from England to Hawaii, this Ale is one of our hoppiest beers ever using 15 pounds of hops for 155 gallons of beer.

UPDATED: JUN 19, 2022 Draught at the brewery, July 2019. Pours clear dark amber with a medium, frothy white head, short retention and light lacing. Moderate pine, resin, and grapefruit hops and hop bitterness, medium grainy malt, light bread crust malt, and a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation.

GTAEgeek (5639) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - NOV 8, 2021
UPDATED: NOV 8, 2021 Pint at Hualani's. Pours a clear, orange color, with a small, biege head. The nose is pine sap, cardamom, caramel, and rye. Malty, not too sweet, and aggressively bitter. Sharp and chewy. Solid west coast IPA.

UPDATED: MAY 7, 2019 Draft at the brewpub. Hazy, dark orange. Comes with some heft. Another home-brew-like essence, with just that little funk that shouldn't be there, although not totally offensive. Earthen. (#7395, 5/2019)

UPDATED: JAN 15, 2019 Sampled at the brewpub on Kauai while vacationing there. Pours amber-gold with a spritz of beige head and residual lacing. Aroma: mango, pineapple, pine. Flavor: mango, papaya, pineapple, guava, biscuit, pine. Mouthfeel: medium-bodied, bittersweet lingering finish, somewhat slick.
