the largest of heads..a deep burnt amber color..malty and creamy aroma..the flavor was a sweet malty and woody extravaganza..with notes of scotch, thickness, creaminess, rum and toffee, candyish and smokey. A winter delight.

Thin head with a deep brown body. Rich nose - milk chocolate with hints of butter, coffee, alcohol. Flavor is chocolately up front with an odd smoky/milky followup. Finish is bittersweet milk chocolate

Had this at the Bon Vivant Beer Lovers Club on 3-28-03. Poured a rich dark brownish-black. Hops and molasses along with slight caramel and spice in the nose. Was expecting more of an alcohol presence. It seemed well hidden for a 10% beer. Coffee and slight chocolate on the tongue along with a subtle hop taste. Finishes well with a pleasant aftertaste.

Vinious malts are coating and sweet. A little scotch gnarliness. Got a bit tingley as it warmed
