Dark burgundy with a thin, tan head. The aroma is malty and sweet, full of brown sugar, caramel and a light fruitiness. The nose on this is really nice. Fairly full body with nice development on the tongue. The flavor is on the sweet side, but not inherently sweet on its own. Nice malts and a hint of bitterness at the finish. Easily the best beer from this brewery, at least in my experience.

Draught at the brewpub, dark brown with a tan foamy head. Light roasted malt aroma. A very nice roasted malt palate with coffee flavour in abundance. Nicely done.

Bottle at Cossab, BsAs - Sadly this bottle had some infection but I could still taste the good rich chocolatey body underneath with some sweetness and a long, malty, cocoa-laced finish. Not as good as it could have been but certainly has potential.

Drank this one at Cerveceria Blest in Bariloche. Apart from this being an awesome location, the beer is excellent. This negra (as it is called there) is a very rewarding beer, not sweet, good body, and refreshing.

Bottled, thanks Fukito! Dark mahogany with firm off-white head. Aroma mostly of caramelized sugar. Fairly sweet with evident caramel flavour. Medium bodied with soft mouthfeel. Thankfully the flavour of crystalized sugar does not carry over into sticky sweetness, so the beer reminds gentle and drinkable. Mildly herbal finish.

Hazy reddish brown ale with a thin off white head. Caramel aroma, with nice walnuts notes. Bery nice nutty malt in mouth, with roasted coffee notes, veering on a brown ale. Quite good. Medium bodied. On tap, May 2006.

Mahogany brown color. Big off-white frothy head with a lacing that sticks to the walls. Malty aroma of wet wood, smokey and very smoothly alcoholic. Initially acid with a strong grain coffee taste, smooth butterscotch hints. Light to medium body, creamy texture.

Pours a deep dark mahogany color with a beautiful beige and stable head that shows good retention and leaves a nice lacing. Excellent, delicious aroma, full of malty power with gorgeous notes of caramel, wood, butterscotch and toffee. Impressive for a beer of this region. Flavor is sweet with caramel, smokey touches and traces of milk, honey and toffee. Good and really enjoyable with a bit of marginal bitterness. Maybe there’s a slightly unbalanced or oxidized hoppy hint but it’s barely noticeable. Good medium body with a creamy texture that dissolves nicely in the mouth. Alcohol completely unnoticeable. Good finish but short aftertaste. A great brew from Argentina..

Thanks to <a href=http://www.ratebeer.com/View-User-5855.htm> Lubiere for bringing this one from the other side of the Andes
