Bottle @ ØlKonsortiet summer shananigans. 2014. So this was definitely the best of the 5 different Eclipse versions of the night. It has all the lovely qualities of the other versions - the gorgeous bourbon aroma, the fruity and chocolaty and not very roasted malt character that suits this style so well, and the perfect balance. And then the coffee lends the perfect amount of freshness, bitterness and kinda "light" notes to the beer, both in aroma and flavour, and it makes for one of the best coffee stouts I’ve ever tried. Just a perfect balance between bourbon barrels, fruity, sweet maltiness and the freshness of the coffee. What a fucking treat!!

Bottle to glass. Pours a deep brown to black color with a light brown head. Aroma is old coffee, chilis, roasted malts. Flavor has a solid roasty background with that classic aged coffee chili character. Decent beer, but I’m sure it was better fresh.

Bottleshare thanks to Home - blind BA Coffee stout tasting. Nice coffee aroma, better than some of the others. get some spice notes. Taste is light bodied, light coffee, needs more barrel character. Nice beer.

Bottled. Pours pitch black, with a small, tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, wood and vanilla. Sweet flavor that ends up more dry with some alcohol. Medium to full bodied, oily texture and soft to flat carbonation. An excellent Impy.

Bottle @ ZEBF 2015. Nice RIS, with whiskey booze and coffee tones. Could use more depth though, it’s very good, but not one of the best.

Bottle @ Zeebra 2015, small sample. Dark color, short frothy brown head. Aroma of lots of slight spicy coffee, roast, some dark chocolate, slight touch of vanilla. Quite some malty and coffee bitterness in taste, just a little cookie. Ok.

Another brewery that makes some very nice tasting imperial stouts. This one just let me down a bit, because there was less actual taste inside as expected. Still very nice, but misses a small boost for me.
