COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hughey is the first installment in our “Bearded Farmer” series of saisons. In keeping with the farmhouse brewing tradition, the idea here is to brew each successive beer a little (or a lot) differently than the ones before it. Hughey is brewed with a blend of rustic grains including oats, rye, and spelt, then fermented with a combination of Belgian and French yeast strains, including three types of Brettanomyces.

hopscotch (11919) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - DEC 23, 2014
Bottle... Pours hazy and amber with peach highlights and a mid-sized, fluffy, white head. Fantastic retention. The aroma is both fruity and spicy - loads of peach and pear with a moderate measure of yeast-driven clove. Full-bodied and creamy with soft carbonation. The flavor is farmhouse-spicy and peppery, but only lightly fruity with moderate bitterness. Crisp, snappy, dry finish.

Ibrew2or3 (10529) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - JAN 26, 2014
750mL bottle pours with a murky deep gold body that has copper hues and supports a thin light tan head. The aroma offers up sweet and estery notes, some maltiness, sweet soured citrus and a bit of earthy basement. The taste delivers sweetness, apple to pear to apricot fruity esters and then a touch of honey sweetness. It has a modest soured citrus kind of tartness here and there. Pretty cool stuff.

Bottle from Craft Beer Co webshop. Golden colour, slightly hazy, white bubbly head. Aroma is fruity, strawberries, ice cream, belgian yeasty, bit of funkiness and light graininess. Taste is great, nice tropical fruit punchiness, some slight sourness, berries at the end. Bit of sweetness from the fruitiness, but a little bite too. Very moreish. Great stuff.

22oz bottle at CPK, London. It pours a bright apricot color with a large white head. Aroma is quite funky with citrus, herbal hops, grass and brett. Taste is quite hoppy and dry with herbal hops, peaches, citrus peel, violets and brett notes. Medium bodied with good carbonation. Good
