UPDATED: DEC 2, 2019 Draft pour at the source. The beer is a dark brown. Dry and floral aroma with notes of earth and ash. Bitter throughout. Medium body and medium carbonation.

Draft at the source. Pours dark amber-brown with a light beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, tropical fruit, pine. A bit of chocolate. Taste follows nose. Less dark malt emphasis than expected, but still decent.

UPDATED: MAR 25, 2021 Hefty dose of chocolate, caramel and toast in the front with hints of orange, and a deep pine-resin finish. Not bad.

On tap at Flying Saucer, Nashville, TN, 4.5.16. Black. Roasty aroma with lots of chocolate milk and cocoa nibs. Bitter, roasty and chocolatey taste. Medium-to-full body, roasty, and bitter but only slightly hoppy finish. Nice but more stout than an IBA.

On tap at Ted’s Montana in Nashville. It poured a dark color with a white head. The aroma was of citrus, pine and malts. The taste was similar to the aroma with more citrus, pine, malts, florals and some grapefruit. Tasty.

Draft. Deep brown body, tan head. Aroma of char, pine, cocoa. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Taste of roast, pine, chocolate.

Draft 7/22/15 (Broadway Brewhouse-Franklin)-Pours black with a small head. Aroma of hops, malt, and slight chocolate. Taste of the same with a bit of coffee as well. This medium bodied brew was not bad.
