UPDATED: MAY 10, 2021 Can (BB Sep 29, 2021). Head is initially average sized to large, frothy, white, mostly lasting. Body is medium yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), lightly hoppy (herbs), lightly yeasty (basement, cobwebs), with notes of peppercorn, clove, gum, lemon zest. Flavor is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Light to medium body, watery/velvety texture, lively carbonation. Very spicy (almost to the point of seeming spiced) rather than fruity, but that's how I'd rather a saison aroma lean anyway. Quite dry and attenuated in the mouth, almost too stark to be enjoyable, but better that than too sweet. Overall it's pretty decent, just sorta brutish and lacking in elegance or nuance. Good for an American attempt, though.

UPDATED: FEB 12, 2020 Am Flughafen in Philadelphia. Trübes gelb-orange, fast kein Schaum. Aroma: Leicht malzig, etwas Kaugummi, Hefe, Zitrone. Geschmack: Mittlere Süße, Malz, Fruchtig, Zitrone. Wenig bitter.

UPDATED: DEC 26, 2019 It pours orange with a white head. Head retention is good. There are lemon and spice aromas with a bit of clove. There are some earthen elements with a slight bit of leather. It has strong spice flavors with a bit of clove and some lemon. There are some earthly flavors in the background with some doughy elements. It has a medium light body with high carbonation and a dry finish. Overall, lots of flavor and aroma. It is a bit spicier than I am used to.

UPDATED: NOV 26, 2019 Bottle from Public Wine. Cloudy yellow with thick white head. Bitter lagery hop aroma. Pretty light with some saison spice but also a bitterness that feels maybe bit more British than Belgian. Not bad tho

Keg at The Lexington, Islington in 2017. Hazy golden with a white head. Aroma of yeasty esters, dough and peppercorns. Crisp, with a slightly spicy flavour and dry grains.

UPDATED: AUG 29, 2019 On tap at Hops & Pie poured a clear gold with a lingering ring if white foam. Aromas of straw, yeast, white pepper and light citrus. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors if straw, light yeast and light pepper with a crisp dry finish.

UPDATED: JUL 9, 2019 Hazy golden with half finger off white head. Aroma of lemon zest, dough, and pepper. Taste is peppery with a dry piney finish. Palate is a bit flat and watery.
