COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
First brewed in 2011, this Chocolate Peanut Butter Porter is jet black in color with a tan, rocky head, full body and creamy, luxurious mouthfeel. Its lightly sweet, malty flavor is accented by rich flavors of chocolate, coffee and peanut butter, and balanced by a subtle hop character and moderate 6.2% abv. Sweet Baby Jesus finishes smooth, dry, and roasty with lingering notes of chocolate and peanut butter so savory, you will exclaim its name!

UPDATED: OCT 11, 2023 Can from Charles Street Liquors, Boston, Massachusetts, USA. A very dark brown/black coloured pour with a thinnish beige head on top. Roasty, malty, peanut, chocolate taste/aroma. Quite savoury and rather artificial flavouring in this one. It's OK.

UPDATED: APR 30, 2023 12 oz. can, 6.2% ABV, CANNED ON: 03/31/23 AROMA: I'm first hit with moderately strong scents of peanut butter and chocolate. Which is then followed by mild scents of coffee . The aroma is very inviting and makes me want to dive right in! APPEARANCE: Pours an opaque black with a thin, dirty tan head, that dissipates slowly and has minimal lacing. This is your classic porter look, but I do wish that there was more height to the head. I think that would make it more visually appealing. TASTE: Moderately sweet with predominant flavors of peanut butter and chocolate, with a hint of coffee on the backend. I find the sweetness level to be perfect for this type of beer. It really helps to play up the peanut butter flavor, yet there's enough bitterness to remind you that you're drinking a beer and not a soft drink. MOUTHFEEL: Full bodied with a creamy, smooth texture, and slightly below-average carbonation. The mouthfeel is definitely heavenly! OVERALL: Other than the thin head, I really have nothing to complain about. The aroma, flavor, and texture are all outstanding! It's been quite a while since I've had a beer that excels in almost every single category. I'll definitely be buying more of this in the future!
