Pretty weird in my opinion. Has a weird flavor of mint that comes through in an odd way.

On tap at Ei8ht Ball. Pours a clear dark brown with a thin white head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, cola, and a hint of mint leaves. Flavor of roasted malt, sweet malt with spearmint and peppermint in the finish as well as some roast. The mint is light, subtle. It feels like you’ve just brushed your teeth. Pretty good minty stout. 7/4/8/4/14 (3.7/5)

Dark brown pour, tan head. Flavors of cocoa, roasted malt, nuts, mint. This is an interesting beer, the mint is light...not overpowering at all.

Kristall-König (2819) - Oldenburg, GERMANY - MAY 30, 2013
Festival der Bierkulturen, Köln. Geruch Pfefferminz, Malz. Startet malzig und pfefferminzartig. Mitte sanft malzig, Minze. Abgang liquide minzig, fast scharf, kühlender Effekt der Pfefferminze. Gut.

Dark brown color, medium tan head. Aroma is rich and roasty, with subtle background mint. Taste is dark chocolate with a bit of peppermint.

Bottle. Dark maroon brown color, medium tan head. Aroma of cocoa and light mint. Mint is subtle enough in the taste, roasty and sweet.

Deutlich minziger Antrunk. Die Malzigkeit ist später erkennbar, wird aber von der Minze z.T. verdrängt. Herb, leicht süß. Rund aber schon etwas komisch. 11/11/11/10//10

draught@Solothurner Biertage 2013 - black beer with a persistent beige foam left; a fair aroma of mint comes in front of a roasted chocolatey maltiness; a good malt backbone, a decent bitterness, subtle yet well present aftertaste of mint,t

32oz growler from Party Source, shared with DanielCoor. Clear dark brown color. Good thin light khaki head. Decent splotches of lace. Medium to bigger body. More dry in the finish. Light, smooth, kind of crisp carbonation, little bit soft in the texture. Good herbal mint aroma... Went into this looking at it as a mint beer, and it’s satisfyingly minty. Not a mint bomb, though... I’d say less minty or as minty as DFH Red and White, from what I remember. Light chocolate, little roast. Mint is featured, it’s cool. And cooling. Good balance, you could say, if you’re a mint lover. Light bitter taste, mostly. Definitely not for everyone, but I’m very much enjoying it.

Draft sample. Poured clear brown color with an average fizzy tan head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Solid mint and toasted malt aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium mint sweet flavor with a medium mint sweet finish of moderate duration. My expectations where met.

Draft to taster. Looks good; brown with foamy beige head. Smells malty and minty. Tastes like it smells, but worse, with an unpleasant mouthfeel. WAY too minty.
