COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Wag the Wolf is a hazy white I.P.A. that packs bright and citrusy organic hops into every sip. Brewed with a substantial ratio of organic wheat to barley malts, its aromas of lemon and grapefruit lead into a finish that is lively and refreshingly hoppy.

History & Style
The white I.P.A. is a modern mash-up of two beer styles, a classic wheat ale and a bold American I.P.A. To brew Wag the Wolf we use organic Motueka and Rakau hops, and a late-addition hop technique to draw extra aroma from them.

Tasting Notes
Wag the Wolf pours a hazy yellow with dense white foam. There is a burst of citrus with lemon and grapefruit on the nose along with banana notes. The flavour is similarly fruity; with an additional hints of papaya, peach and mild peppery notes. The bitterness is firm but not overwhelming. It has lively carbonation and a medium body. The finish is bright and balanced.

Food Pairings
Whitefish, lemon-marinated pepper chicken, washed-rind semi-firm cheeses, lemon squares.

pictoman (7325) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 25, 2021
UPDATED: NOV 25, 2021 Poured from 473mL can (pkg 07/15/21). Slightly hazy blonde with full white head. Wheat, pepper, and lemon with a touch of banana, a bit of citrus peel with some dry grassy floral hops, some lingering carbonation on the tongue.

cmacklin (4242) - Lethbridge, Alberta, CANADA - JUL 5, 2020
UPDATED: JUL 5, 2020 473ml can. (5.0% ABV) Pours a slightly hazy gold-yellow with a medium, foamy, long lasting, white head that laces nicely. Aroma of estery yeast, wheat malt, lemon, banana, clove and floral hops. Sweet flavour of bready wheat malt, yeast, lemon, banana, spicy clove, floral and a hint of bubble gum in a dry, bitter grass finish. Medium body with an oily texture and average carbonation. Not bad.

Tessic (2162) - Brantford, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 23, 2020
UPDATED: JUN 23, 2020 This IPA poured a cloudy, light yellow colour with a creamy, bright white head. Medium lacing. Scents include alcohol, spice, light nail polish remover and perfume. First swig was watery but flavourful. Quite flat, with flavours of black olives, light wiener water and spices. Finish is light, with flavours of alcohol and clove flavours lingering.

UM02 (657) - Quebec, CANADA - FEB 17, 2020
UPDATED: FEB 17, 2020 Can from LCBO. Pours hazy but you can still see though it. Aroma of orange. Citrus taste followed by some hop bitterness. There is definitely some of the subtle flavours of a white but the hops diminish them somewhat. A hybrid between a white and an IPA but it doesn't quite do either justice. Nevertheless, still nice and pleasant. A good solid beer but not a great one.

UPDATED: FEB 9, 2020 Smells like feet. Pairs well with Kraft single slices. Thin slices only, not the thick one. No white either, orange cheese only!

MingLeSage (150) - , Quebec, CANADA - JAN 7, 2020

UPDATED: AUG 13, 2018 Pours hazy, rich golden, with a full, off white head. Aroma is citrus, honey and hops. Taste is mango and honey, moving to citrus, banana and wheat, with a strong hop backbone. Finish is smooth wheat. A good wheat beer.

AleRider78 (2785) - Winchester, Ontario, CANADA - APR 20, 2018
2014 rating. Pours a huge frothy off-white head, leaves behind some thick patchy lacing. Has a hazy golden/orangey appearance. Nice Belgian yeast and citrus hop aromas. Flavours oranges, citrus and light floral hops. Some hints of grapefruit and yeast in the finish. Fizzy and tingly mouthfeel. Full bodied. Pretty good!
