4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
500ml bottle from McCambridge’s Of Galway (€3.95):
Great stuff & definitely up there with the best from the brewery that I’ve tried so far. The beer was very fresh & lively with a lot of hop bitterness & tropical fruits coming through, something that is usually missing from a lot of Irish brewed IPA’s sadly. There was a good balance between the tropical flavours, hops & the caramel sweetness that followed & as a result the beer was a very easy one to drink. The taste was flavoursome & varied with plenty going on, the only slight negative being the amount of sediment that was showing in the glass but it’s definitely a beer I’ll be on the look out for again.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
from bottle pours a hazy amber colour with a small head and a little lacing. A citrussy and hoppy nose, pine resin and fruity. Taste of orange marmalade and some toasted grain and hoppy bitterness, slight spicy note, good carbonation but not much rye only faint. Decent enough beer though, enjoyable.

Plenty of pine-y, orange Cascade hops on the nose, albeit slightly earthy at the same time. Body and taste more subtle/thinner.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle shared by John Nolan @Johnny’s Off License (thank you Johnny!). Pours amber with a decent off-white head. Aroma is delicate malty, cereals, light caramel, citrus, resin. Flavour is perfectly balanced, medium malty and sweet with a nice bitter end. Medium body, medium to light carbonation. So balanced, with a classic anglosaxon touch.
