UPDATED: DEC 13, 2020 Bottle. A-Fruity, tart, barnyard, wheat. A- Orange color, clear liquid, white rocky head. T- Barnyard, funk, straw, wheat, slightly fruity. P- Full body, average texture, high carbonation, bitter finish. O- I have loved all beers so far with sea buckthorn. This was definitely the exclusion, also the first from Nogne I really didn't like. This was extreme barnyard funk and moldy wheat. Really just couldn't do it. I presume it was the raw wheat and the fact that it was not super fresh.

UPDATED: AUG 11, 2019 Bottle. Pours hazy copper with a medium, frothy off-white head, medium retention. Moderate acetic fruit, buckthorn I assume, light citrus notes, medium bread malt, light medicinal phenols, salt, light smoke character of wet seaweed, and a dry finish. Medium-full body and moderate carbonation.

UPDATED: MAR 22, 2019 Bottle. Pours a golden pale orange color with a small white head. Has a fruity sour tart sea buckthorn aroma. Fruity weak sour spicy sea buckthorn flaovr. Has a fruity sour tart sea buckthorn finish.

UPDATED: FEB 24, 2019 Utseende tåkete gylden med offwhite skum. Aroma og Smak syrlig frukt malt gjær krydder. Middels fyldig bitter. Flaske smakt August 2013, 25cl 7%

Bottle @ home, cellared for 5 years. Hazy golden color with a small white head. Aroma has a clean brett character with some horse pee, red berries, lemon, buck thorn, violet. Taste is moderate sour and quite dry. Taste is similar with an earthy and fruity finish. Quite nice, although it hasn't really improved over the years.

UPDATED: OCT 1, 2018 Bottle sample from notes. Pours a hazy amber color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma and flavor have sour citrus, grapefruit, orange, lemon, white wine, funk, pale malts, sourdough, nose is much more sour than the flavor.

Bottiglia. All'olfatto si esprimono sentori di sour. L'olfatto viene sollecitato in maniera elevata e la costanza olfattiva è apprezzabile. Il manto birroso superiore è caratterizzato da bollicine grandi. Il liquido è di aspetto opalescente. Il colore è giallo dorato carico. Il corpo è rotondo. L'amaro è contenuto. L'intensità gustativa è elevata. Sulla lingua si fermano caratteristiche di frutta passita e pipì di gatto.

Bottle from de Fles Winkel. Bright orangey golden with nice white head. A hint of vinegar, funk, apple, Brown sugar. Light balanced flavor, not as robust as aroma. Dry.
