UPDATED: JUN 22, 2021 Bottle. A- Rum, sweet fudge, coconut cream. A- Black color, black liquid, brown head. T- Rum, sweet, toasted coconut, fudge, caramelized sugars, rich. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, cloying finish. O- At 2 years old this was still very boozy. The rum was strong and like a cheap coconut rum. The first few oz were fantastic but by halfway through the bottle this became very cloying. 12 oz is definitely worth sharing. Good but not stellar.

AWISLguy (7111) - Wisconsin, USA - JUL 26, 2020
UPDATED: JUL 26, 2020 12oz bottle from Craft Beer Cellar in Pewaukee. About black pour with a brown head. Aroma has roasted malts, chocolate, vanilla, and spirit, with wood. Taste is of sweet malts, rum, and wood. Vaguely there is cocoa & some roast. The rum is too much at this point, but possibly a year in the cellar may help. Medium to full bodied, there is an alcohol presence, and the blend is solid, but too rum-focused right now. Finishes sweetly roasty, with sweet alcohol. 14.5

Werckmeister (6297) - Vienna, AUSTRIA - JUL 13, 2020
UPDATED: JUL 13, 2020 0,355l bottle at home. No obvious BB date. black color, no head. smells rummy, vanilla, wood, oak, soy sauce, light spices. nice smell. full body, light carbonation. tastes of vanilla, rum, molasses, boozy, light chocolate, subtle soy sauce. finishes bit boozy and lightly sweet with notes of vanilla, rum and a long lasting fudgy finish. nice to very nice one, booze is a bit obvious, but overall good to drink. liked the regular Noir (bourbon) a bit better. A lot more fudgy and chocolate forward once it warms up.

JDBaker11058 (3946) - Sandy Spring, Maryland, USA - MAY 15, 2020
UPDATED: MAY 15, 2020 12% abv and showed it. The boozy rum notes started off overpowering and backed up a bit only slightly as it warmed. It was just over the line into too boozy, and I should have aged this for a year or two to take the edge off. You could tell the base stout underneath was excellent. Strong notes of chocolate, rum (of course), wood, vanilla, and coconut. Bottle from Sarah for Beervent 2019.
