jkwood04 (5980) - Connecticut, USA - APR 7, 2024UPDATED: APR 7, 2024 Can in a glass. Pours hazy golden. Aroma of citrusy and fruity hops, pale malts, light dough, maybe some floral honey notes? Flavor the same, with a nice hoppiness. A solid beer.
ClarkVV (13408) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - MAR 19, 2024UPDATED: MAR 19, 2024 Canned 2/14/24, drunk 3/19/24.
Heavily hazy, bronze-maize-brass. Medium-sized, off-white head, slowly to partial cover.
Beautiful nose. Spice galore with gentle berry suggestions and no onion/garlic. At close to 6 weeks old, the nose is intensely aromatic, clean and balanced, with ample oat to soften things.
Spicy, soft and juicy with lemongrass, light wood, ample, soft malt and soft oat. Excellent balance all-around. Not too much pine, but the simcoe and amarillo do provide excellent bitterness. Tons of flavor for its size, more than most breweries' DIPAs. Spice, cracker, honey and oat lingering with a bit of berry and pine. Maybe just hit the sweet spot for this but damn, this is incredible. Might very well be underrating this at 4.4.
