UPDATED: FEB 28, 2021 Old rating from 2009 - 330ml bottle, pours dark brown with a white foamy head. Aromas & tastes of cherry, hints of spice & malt. Medium body. Dry slightly sour finish

33cl bottle shared by hugi 11/2014. Stale bronzish pour, emanating wet autumn wood, shrub and fading caramel. Taste has the same sundued nuttiness with indefined kitchen cabinet spice, bière de garde yeasts workign against rousse malts. Dry, woody, dropping down flat with little sparkle between BdG and red ale.

Shared this beer with bastarda, Bierle and bartlebier. Brown, whited medium head, a bit hazy. At first malty and berries. Later also caramel, vanilla and a bit of wood. Full body, a bit malty-sweet finish.

Bona cervesa, es equilibrada i gustosa. Buena cerveza, es equilibrada y sabrosa.

Appearance with copper color, cloudy liquid and low foaming. Sour and caramel aroma. Taste slightly sweet (caramel) and toasted. On the palate, acidity and bitterness.

(Keg at Põrgu, 20130703) The beer poured reddish brown and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had caramell and Belgian style yeast. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, Belgian style yeast, spices, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was malty, spicy and bitter. Not a bad brew but somewhat confusing.

sweet malty aroma, bit of woodiness. reddy amber, tight head. slipd down superbly easily. no sign of 6%. mellow and woody. Nothing exciting, but very tasty.
