COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Made in the tradition of German style wheat beers, which are famous for their distinct clove, vanilla, and banana aromas. Our Bavarian yeast strain contributes these signature characteristics to a beer that is light, tangy, and refreshing. Enjoy it with a slice of lemon, as is customary in southern Germany.

Pours a nice hazy golden, typical of a hefe but still attractive. Strong wheaty and lemony aroma has a hint of yeast. Refreshing wheaty flavor has a lively, tingly texture. Body is average but the tingle persists. Perfect for a sweltering summer day.

[Tap] Pours a very light yellow color with a nice cap of head and a slight haze to it. Wheat grains, lemon and clove in the nose. Spicy flavor features clove and some nutmeg with lesser amounts of banana and bubblegum. Sweet and yeasty finish. Decent body for an American example of the style. Lively carbonation. This was a pretty good beer.

Draft. Very suprised at the quality of this hefe. It had all the qualities I enjoy and was quite quaffable. The aroma is bananas and cloves with just a light touch of citrus. Hazy yellow body with a merengue white fluffy head. Flavors of wheat, banana, some lemon with nice cracker-like note. When I go back in the summer, I’ll be looking for this for sure. Wish the casino’s would carry this instead of the regular crap they do.

Draft at brewpub. Pours hazy gold with a white head. Aroma of clove and banana esters. A little thin in body for my tastes. This lacks the nuances of a good hefe and is a bit heavy on clove phenols, although it gets much better on the finish. Not terrible, but I am just picky with my hefes.

Draft @ Silver Peak. Pours a cloudy yellow color; thin white head with fine-bubbled lacing. Solid amounts of lemon, light clove, and wheatiness in the aroma; citrus-laden and spritzy. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: lively citrus acidity, mineral hop character, and lots of liveliness in the mouth; again, citrus-forward and really quite good. Some toastiness and peppery yeast at the core. Medium finish: breadiness and toast, with a light bit of citrus lingering.
