UPDATED: OCT 20, 2023 6/10/2023. Can shared at Ulfborg. Pours slightly hazy pale gold with a frothy white head. Aroma of corn, millet, straw, slight mucky notes. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness. Moderate body, quite fizzy. Not a fan.

UPDATED: OCT 30, 2021 The aroma is hoppy with citrus and resin hops. It is also malty despite the non barley grains. The appearance is hazy gold with a foamy head complete with lacing. Not all IPAs do that. The taste is like the aroma with very little difference from a standard IPA. There is a touch of medicinal bitterness in there. The palate is smooth. Overall a successful IPA by any standard.

GLASSWARE: Duvel snifter... pours a hazy, dense, bubbly brown orange body that hoists a thick, creamy white head two fingers high.... approximates a barleywine with a inch-wide hedgerow of white frost... hoppy--pine, pineapple, lemon zest, mango, a touch of bread, some bubblegum and punchy spiciness... the caramel notes are especially appreciated, given its lack of true malts... its body is bright, light and drinkable--not much texture, but that aids its relaxed 6% ABV... fruity, punchy and more than a match in its genre--the lemon, pineapple, pine and spice sweeten the deal, with apple and sweet bread balancing the juicy floral strength that comes from a brew that subverts the holy foursome by missing its malt... I appreciate this beer's goals, and it hits the target in its genre...
