COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Deep and complex – for big and relaxing moments by the fire.

Dark-ruby colored wheat doppelbock with a creamy fine head. Strong notes of ripe bananas, raisins and plums meet liquorice and roasty aromes. Full-bodied and warming, with a well-balanced and smooth finish. The ideal companion for hearty roast meat, venison and also fruity chocolate desserts, “Kaiserschmarrn” (pancakes), “Elisenlebkuchen” (christmas cookies) or blue cheese.

Oldest wheat doppelbock of Bavaria. Since 1907. 18.5°

Not a big fan of Bockbier, but Schneider Weisse never lets me down. Matly beer with lots of banana, dark stone fruits and wheat. Not a strong hop aroma, but it’s also not lacking hops. The mouthfeel is just brilliant. Great beer.

A classic "oh & I will take that too" purchase brings home this classic German beer. Pour in the glass & fire up rate beer & holy smokes this is a 100/100 score beer. Click the friends tab & check validity & see pootzboy loves this (I value his beer scholarship & Zappa fan boyness) & even fellow hophead Hippyhop (still dont know if he’s a hippy or a hiphop aficionado) tips his hat at this. It’s a fantastic beer, all yeast & wheat & banana & clove & Germanic precision balance & epic beer history goodness. Give a sip to Ms Tiki who is smoking a cigar (the 1st of 2 it turns out) -- this is a significant development as she announced today after 6 glasses of rosé wine that she will no longer breastfeed our little one year old baby & is celebrating the liberation of her body -- says its a tasty treat (& she hates beer the way Stephen Harper hates democracy) & she’s right: this is a treat.

Pours murky dark brown with a red tone. Head is light brown and goes down fairly quick. Nose is bubble gum, toasted malts, sweet toffee, bread, dark fruits. Really nice! Flavour is lots of sweet malts, fruity yeast, banana, wheat, bit of clove, tiny heat from the alcohol towards the end. Great full mouthfeel, with a long lingering after taste. A perfect sipper!

Absolutely delicious! Pours a beautiful dark with a lot of frothy head. Slightly sweet and a malty finish.

When poured into glass it produces a cloudy, not very long lasting head. Hazy amber coloured beer which serves aromas of banana, caramel, bubblegum, bread, doughy yeast, alcohol, intense toffee, floral hops, dark fruits, cream liqueur. Flavours of yeast, wheat, sweet malt, fruits, spices and warming alcohol. Creamy texture, full body, more than average carbonation, but not unpleasant. Finish is, as per description, similar to those from good schnaps. Overall very good! In my opinion just too good for drinking, sniffing is the way to go.

Bottle. Pours murky amber brown with light brown head. Aroma is sweet, malty, yeast, bubblegum, caramel, candied sugar. Slight toast. Taste is sweet, wheat, candy, yeast, sweet peach, toasty marks, smooth body. Well hidden alcohol. Slight bitter finish. Some candied sugar.

This is my new favorite. I usually buy St. Bernadus 12 for my standard beer, but this Aventius is my new go-to. $4 for a 500 ml bottle can’t be beat. This taste is just outstanding and smooth. Creamy mouthfeel, mild banana, some sort of spices, not cinnamon or anything too strong but it tasted like a snickerdoodle cookie or something. I was happy that the banana was actually not that overpowering and seemed to be kept in check by something slightly vinous. I could drink these all night on the one hand and yet on the other hand I could also drink one and study its complexity for hours. This beer is both challenging and easy to drink if that is even possible. This beer is clutch. A dopplebock masterpiece.
