Mainly malty with pronounced, but not cloying, caramel notes. Some fruit and a lick of sharp hops. Not too fizzy. Better than expected. bockimstein (31), New Madrid, Missouri, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Jan 28, 2010 Better than most Mexican beers, if that is a nice thing to say about it. 12 oz. bottle to lager glass. Nice clear dark amber color, with weak head--just some spotty lacing. Malt, bread, light caramel, nothing very strong, but it’s there none the less. Lightly sweet, with some quick and weak hop bitter finish, again, nothing that is a statement. Thin and a bit too carbonated for what it has to offer. It is okay, but that is a back handed compliment, at least it doesn’t need a lime to hide the taste. Pawola22 (855), Kansas City, Missouri, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Jan 21, 2010 On tap at the Flying Saucer in KC. Pours a clear, copper-amber colored body with an inch thick, off-white head that dissipates quickly and leaves a light lacing. Aroma is thin and dry with a vague corny, dirty caramel, somewhat toasted breadiness. Flavor is the same with a cardboard maltiness, some bread, and a trace of hop bitterness with no aftertaste. Light bodied, crisp, and moderately carbonated. Overall, a boring, watery "dark" lager. The most interesting man in the world clearly hasn’t experienced more than a Guiness. | 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Jan 13, 2010 Brown amber pour with a finger thick head of loose off white bubbles. Weak beer with a very slight hint of hops (and I mean slight). A little malt and even less of a caramel profile. Generally weak and would make for a refreshing summer beer: refreshing only because it borders on water. DeadGuyPerez (37), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Jan 10, 2010 Pours amber/red with an off-white head, aroma and taste mildly malty and slightly sweet. Reasonably tasty, but too weak for its price tag. Better than other Mexican stuff I’ve had. arminjewell (342), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/20 | Jan 9, 2010 Pours red with white head, aroma is caramel sweet. Taste is very light malt flavor, no hops, and a sweet finish. Average vienna style. fakepurseninja (804), Washington, USA
| 0.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 2/20 | Dec 31, 2009 Thin and weak. Not going into much detail for obvious reasons; nothing to report. Doesn’t even compliment crappy Mexican food. kosko20 (341), Bemidji, Minnesota, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Dec 29, 2009 Pours amber color with a dark off white head that dissipates instantly. Aroma is caramel, yeast and pine that’s pretty nice. Flavor is mildly bitter and the palate is crisp and clean. This is a solid Mexican beer...I don’t drink Mexican beer very often but when I do, I prefer Dos Equis.
