Dark brown with a tan head. Medium body with a very slight sweetness and creaminess. Toasty flavor with hints of roasted oats and caramel. Bier brauen (225), Bremerton, Washington, USA

The aroma is some sweet with a dash of sour and a good drop of salty soy. The flavor has many layers, starting with sweet and a bit of sour followed by chocolate, salty soy, and smooth cream. The mouthfeel is carbonated but smooth and slick, going down easy. illidurit (952), Santa Cruz, California, USA

Pretty brew and nice roasted malts, prunes, licorice, some nuttiness and soy sauce. Nice creamy mouthfeel. A decent brew, but their double chocolate stout is much better. curly (1035), Nashville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 13/20 | Oct 9, 2009 Nitro-keg pour is solid black with a thick creamy beige head. Aroma is hard to get through the thick creaminess but upon settling there is oat and chocolate malt. Taste is nut, oat, milk chocolate, and vanilla. Texture is thicker than a lot of nitrogen beers and taste is rich and full. Nutty malty finish. KyotoLefty (1562), Kyoto, Japan

Pitch black with a tall, dark brown head. Fine and foamy. Slightly burnt, milky aroma. Very rich flavor, not overly burnt, but good roasted malt. Creamy, slightly milky but not sweet. A dry finish, though not at all overpowering. A good stout, but not really that interesting, especially compared to the double chocolate. It is smooth and easy to drink, though, with a decent balance.
