Commercial Description:
Dos Equis Special Lager is a refreshing, crisp, golden, lager style beer imported from Mexico. Made with roasted malts, choice hops, a unique strain of yeast and purified water, this distinctive brew is known simply as “Lager” in its homeland.

This beer is okay for what it is. Probably the most bready, and corny beer I’ve ever had. . And LOL "Soggy cheerios" that actually makes sense! Go ahead and try it if you haven’t already. It’s not great but it’s not horrible either

Clear yellow with a nice eggshell head. Aroma is skunky and the taste is skunky and watery too. There is barely a hint of bitterness in the finish. I know this is the way they want their beer to taste, but I just don’t care for. Dos Equis Amber is much more tolerable.

Bottle. Pours pale yellow with a white head. Corny aroma with some hints of straw. The flavor tastes like old popcorn kernals and soggy cheerios.

Bottle. This was my first ’exotic’ beer on a long ago mexican spring break, so holds a special place. Nose is bready malt, light spiciness, pretty decent, really. Also some industrial sweetness there, too which detracts. Flavor is the breadiness upfront, with a very corn-fired syrupy sweetness following. Not bad, but sweeter than I recall. I know it’s beer-sacrilege, but this one is better with the ubiquitous mexican lime...knocks out that checmically sweetness.

Clear golden colouring, tin white head which dissipates almost immediately. Moderate carbonation. Doughy aroma, not too strong but not pleasant. Watery taste and feel. Mass produced lager, like every one you have ever tasted. Not bad, not great - not anything.

Fairly dark golden yellow. Good carbonation, medium head. Very watery. Smells mostly of corn, with some cardboard mixed in. Very light bitterness (almost none). Nothing really special. Very drinkable in a hot day with some spiced food.

Pours gold with white head, aroma is full of corn and slight fruit. Taste is corn and cereal with a bit of fruity sweetness. Another mass produced, drinkable lager, but with little flavor and nothing much to say.

Bottled 0.33L 4.5%. Mild nose. Pale fast disappearing head. Mild waterly lemoney taste. At the end some hops. Slight sourness. No sweetness.
