Dark brown colour with a medium sized white head. Lacing. Aroma is caramel malts, soft honey, wood and liquorice. Taste is sweet caramel malts, wood and soft plums. Sweet boozy finish.

zacgillbanks (9026) - Tyne & Wear, ENGLAND - OCT 26, 2018"Quadrupel" Bottle from Estabelecimentos Dom Sancho, Silves, Algarve, Portugal. Hazy, very dark brown with a thick white head. It has a spicy dried fruit and liquorice flavour with chocolate, coffee and slight medicinal red fruit on the smooth finish. Not bad.

Has a bit of pepper and some prune and plum. A bit on the sweet side with a touch of slight pepper and pear. Warming.

gegwilson (4862) - North Yorkshire, ENGLAND - NOV 15, 2016Bottle in Boheme, Faro. This is now labled as a quadruple. Deep amber with a thin cream head. Nice spiced fruit aroma. The taste has Christmas spices with clove especially leading to a dry peppery finish. Ther’s stewed fruits too, port and tobacco. Enjoyable beer, though not a great quad.
