ads135 (8029) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - NOV 17, 2017Tried for the first time in 2007 and only now getting to the ratings transfer. Weak in appearance, aroma, and flavor. Tired chocolate flavor, a little breads, not much else.
jonas (14028) - Garching b. München, GERMANY - OCT 12, 2017Backlog rating LCRBM/Bruxellensis 2006: Nice layering nitroporter bubbles, creamy head. No aroma. Very light nutty. Very lightbodied, watery.
EvanFriend (844) - Arlington, Virginia, USA - JUN 2, 2015Taste is like watery Guinness with a strong metallic aftertaste. The name is really the best thing about this beer.
slowrunner77 (19964) - Reno, Nevada, USA - OCT 16, 2014"THAT explains it! a stout made by our good friends at Bud. I was excited to see a new stout, complete with a 3d boxer taphandle, while on vacation. more excited as it came out, cascading on nitro. the flavor, however, was entirely underwhelming. if you’re a Guiness fan it’s almost comprable, but i’m a fan of bigger stouts than this."
phaleslu (16533) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - AUG 28, 2014(Revised from 2007 rating.) Pours a deep brown with a cascading khaki head. Well, A-B has its Guiness clone and competitor (or had). Smooth, creamy, and dry. Very light, too. A little too light, in terms of aroma and flavor. Faint roast and chocolate and coffee and cream. This really isn’t (or wasn’t) bad. I wish they still made it, to be honest. It was my go-to when we took visiting friends in college on the A-B brewery tour.
youdictategood (467) - Florida, USA - OCT 16, 2012(old notes) Used to get this on-tap from the Busch Gardens beer room every once in a while. Black pour, tan head. Not much aroma, just roasted malts and a little chocolate. Taste is a fair Guinness knock-off, a little more alcohol and a little too thin. Perfectly average.
jmagnus87 (2903) - Rockford, Illinois, USA - MAY 24, 2012Overall, it’s not a bad stout. Nothing really special here but I would take it over pretty much anything else AB makes. I have a feeling if it wasn’t associated with AB it would probably have a much higher rating.
jtclockwork (21132) - , New Jersey, USA - APR 24, 2012UPDATED: FEB 28, 2013 Draft from awhile ago. Pours black. Nose/taste of roasted barley, baker’s chocolate and dark malt. Dry finish. Plain.
Stldsf1 (616) - Florida, USA - MAR 5, 2012I can't even find this anymore. If you did. A blind taste test this would score much higher. But because it's brewed by AB people have a predisposed hatred of it. It's a bit chocolatier Guiness. Still a nice stout. Regardless of the brewer

seymour (2594) - Maplewood, Missouri, USA - OCT 24, 2011Tasted on tap in standard pint glass. Poured a clear, dark brown color with fluffy off-white foam which dissipated fairly quickly leaving very little lace. Aromas of bread, roasted barley, no hops, no yeast esters. Some malt-sweetness, slight hops bitterness, more roasted barley. Completely missing any malty, fruity complexity. Light body and thin, bland mouthfeel, Characteristic Anheuser-Busch watery and metallic tastes with sharp, overly fizzy carbonation. Stouts are great, but this is a sadly lacking version.
