COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Zombie Monkie is a dark, rich porter, carefully brewed for the post-apocalyptic world to come. Crafted with lots of roasty dark chocolate and specialty malts, then inoculated with enough hops to add a floral/citrus character in the finish. It’s hardy, complex, and interesting, because you might be drinking it for a long time.

Pours dark brown from the can. Crown is frothy, sudsy, and subsides slowly. Aroma is a mix of roasted grains and soft chocolate notes. Taste is sweet, full of toffee and chocolate. Finishes with a very light hops bite. Body is medium, but to the lighter side. Carbonation is mild. Overall, nothing too exciting, but a still a solid and pleasant candidate for everyday sipping.

Aroma is fresh coffee. Pure Black color. starts off like a sweet coffee. Has a horrible, brutal bitter finish. If you like bitter coffee you will love it. I do not.

Onslow (1888) - Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA - MAY 19, 2017
Pour from a 12oz can. Dark brew with one finger of head after pouring, great head retention. Aroma is complex malts - sweet malts, chocolate, coffee, toast - with overtones of green fruit and floral notes. Interesting aroma with great character. Taste is sweet and rich malt up front - again chocolate and coffee - with an increasingly complex malt finish and hops notes subtly emerging at the very end. An excellent porter.

Beerenberger (1604) - Fischer, Texas, USA - APR 24, 2017
Aroma of cola from a dark brown pour. Long lasting tan head. The taste is flat grainy - not much malt, coffee etc. Medium light body. Overall, ok but not the flavors. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
