Commercial Description:
100% Wisconsin malt of six different varieties impart the natural toasted color to the bottle conditioned unfiltered ale. Clean hazelnut notes result from these carefully chosen barley malts. Hops from Slovenia, Bavaria and the Pacific Northwest give Fat Squirrel its backbone.

Served from a 12oz bottle given to my by my new brother-in-law. Thanks Jason. The appearance is a hazy apple cider drown with no head. The aromas are sweet with malt characters, apple cider, hazelnut. The flavors follow a bit with apple, hazelnut, toasted malts. A decent brown ale.

Pours a dark amber with a very tightly bubbled white head. Nutty and roasted aroma, with some sweet malt to boot. Sweet flavor similar to the aroma, but with the addition of spicy and grassy hops. Nice clean finish, very refreshing. medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

Chestnut brown, soft medium haze, small creamy off white head. Faint nutty aroma. Creamy body, full almond and hazelnut flavor, lightly scrubbed in the finish with earthy hops.

Medium clear brown body. Carmel and nuttiness in the flavor. A little water but a decent flavor. Decent lacing with a rather large head.

Bottle. Dark amber-light brown, mostly clear with a small off white head. Soft nutty aroma. Sweet caramel, nuts and some subtle spices in the flavor. Pretty even tasting from start to finish. Good flavor considering the light appearance.

12oz - Thin aroma of roasted malts, chestnuts and toffee. Flavor matches. Palate is clean. Smooth and drinkable but boring.

Bottle via trade. Medium brown color with a small white head. Aroma is nuts, chocolate, and malt. Flavor is nutty and malty with milk chocolate and mild roast. Body and carbonation medium. Decent overall but nothing really stands out.
