UPDATED: JUN 28, 2022 0.66 l bottle from local 'Trink & Spare', best before April 2023. Clear, very dark ruby with a thin, foamy, quickly collapsing, beige head. Sweetish-malty, gently fruity aroma of caramel, molasses, raisins and prunes. Quite sweet, malty, moderately fruity taste of caramel, molasses, raisins, prunes and a touch of chocolate, followed by a short, moderately bitter, minimally roasty finish. Medium body, gently effervescent, almost fizzy mouthfeel, average carbonation. Moreish Doppelbock, pleasantly sweet with a touch of roast, just a bit fizzy.

UPDATED: OCT 12, 2021 Bottle, bb 11/22. Deep brown with a beige head. Aroma of brown bread, dried and stewed fruit. A faint muddy note. Tastes pretty much as it smells with some slight spiced bitterness. Lacks a bit of structure - there's no central flavour. Alcohol is not overt. OK.
