Commercial Description:
This beer has a generous head - compact and firm. Its slightly brown colour is the result of the roasted barley. It has a dark ruby brown colour and a very intense aroma. The aromatic herbs and spices used greatly enhance its delicious smell. This beer is full-bodied with a smoothness that is the result of the synergy of caramelized malts, carefully controlled fermentation and long cold storage. St Feuillien Cuvée de Noël has a very subtle bitterness that is the dominant flavour in this harmonious ale that strikes a perfect balance between all the different ingredients.

bottle. pours a brown coloured body with a small ring of off-white head and small specks of yeast floating around. the aroma is pleasing and interesting with strong fruit notes...pear and berries, specifically. quite sweet with lots of that fruit coming through in the flavour and a soft yeasty texture. mildly tart but balanced off by the sweet pears. perhaps a little bit of bitter chocolate in the finish. very good

Poured a hazy amber color with medium sized beige. Yeasty and very fruity aroma. Dark fruits and spicy. Smells like a fruit cake. Fruity and sweat flavor with a yeasty spice that runs to the finish. Semi-dry spicy finish. Medium bodied and warming.

Dark amber to light brownish color. Beige irregular head that doesn’t stay very long. Sweet malty flavour. Strong fine CO2 bubbling. Sweet full flavour, followed by bitterness. Bitter-saline aftertaste. Hints of oister!

Stumbled across a couple bottles from 2007. What a lush strong Belgian ale, perfect for a cold night and I’m sure the age did some great things to this beer. Pours a mottled reddish brown color with slow carbonation, a frothy tan head, and streaky lacing. Dark cherries, earthy yeast and a wonderful musty/sweaty odor that takes this aroma to a new level. Nicely blended, very mellow with a rich malt body. Filling and the beer rolls back with a calm sweetness. Overly ripe grape and berry flavor with nutty bread and funky yeast mixed in. A drawn out spicy characteristic adds more depth.
