Apr 12, 2009 Cask @ GBBF 2008. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty caramel aroma with some hints of licorice and coffee aroma. Roasted malty coffee and dark chocolate flavor with some hints of licorice. Has a slightly sweetish roasted malty coffee finish with some hints of chocolate in the aftertaste.

Aug 24, 2008 (Cask at GBBF, London, 7 Aug 2008) Black colour with brief, pale brown head. Roasted, malty nose with notes of coffee and cocoa. Roasted, malty taste with strong black coffee, dark chocolate and a generous coffee bitterness in a clean and fresh finish. Medium body, dry. An excellent example of irish stout.

Aug 16, 2008 Cask. Low fluffy but lasting light brown head. Pitch black body. Lovely and distinct coffee cocoa aroma. Mild but good coffee liquorice flavor with low carbonation and a long aftertaste.
