UPDATED: FEB 4, 2023 Bottled. Hazy orangeish golden colour with a mediumsized foamy white head. Aroma is zesty, some floral, herbal and mild bready tones. Flavour is zesty, floral, herbal and some mild bready and herbal tones. Smoothly balanced and a nice mellow bitterness to it. Refreshing, even though a bit on the watery side.

UPDATED: OCT 21, 2021 Bottled, 330ml donated to the cause from a friend, thank you. Clouded orange gold with white head. There are quite sharp orange flavours from the off, tangy, zesty in character. There is a bitterness with just a hint of fustiness. A decent beer despite the ageing.

330ml bottle in 2016. Murky orange with a thin white head. Aroma of grapefruit, grass and aniseed. Orange, pithy peal and straw flavours.

cloudy orange pour with minimal bubbly head. Hoppy grapefruit aroma. Hoppy and grapefruity with quite a light mouthfeel, plenty of orange peel and citrus fruit in the mouth too. Medium carbonation, quite sweet flavour to complement the hops and a decent bitter lasting finish. Perhaps slightly too orange-peel heavy for me, but nice nonetheless.

Kolor: Bursztynowy, mocno mętny.
Piana: Średnio trwała, kremowa, złożona z małych i średnich ziarenek. Po przelaniu tworzy wysoki kopczyk. Opada do dwucentymetrowej oponki. Na ściankach szkła pojawiają się liczne krążki.
Zapach: W smaku dość mocno karmelowe. Potem wyczuwalne aromaty owoców cytrusowych. Głównie ananas i liczi. Pod spodem odrobina ziołowych i żywicznych detali. Nie ma tu wielkiego szału, ale też nie ma tragedii.
Smak: W smaku dominują dokładnie te same owoce co w aromacie. Ananas i liczi, takie wyciągnięte prosto z puszki zalane syropem. Jest także odrobina ziół i nut herbacianych. Posmak herbatki Earl Grey co jakiś czas przewija się na języku. W oddali karmel i nuty miodowe. Goryczka jest średnia, półwytrawny finisz. Piwo jest lekkie w smaku, może odrobinę zbyt wodniste. Mało intensywne, ale pijalne.
Wysycenie: Średnie.
Podsumowanie:
Sofa King Pale Ale to piwo, które nazwa dobrze pasuje do prezentowanego stylu. Można się nim rozkoszować leżąc na sofie i oglądając mecz NBA. Jest trochę karmelowe, odrobinę owocowe, herbaciane i ziołowe. Najfajniej w nim wychodzi na wierzch posmak i aromat liczi. Nuty utlenianie w postaci miodu stanowią oddzielną inszość. Brakuje mu nieco intensywności, świeże musiało być super.

W aromacie nieco karmelu ale i owocowe nuty chmielowe, białe grono, liczi, te klimaty. W smaku znów lekki karmel, goryczka niska, gronowa soczystość. W starym stylu. Za dużo karmelu żeby lubić, zbyt ok by skrytykować.

Murky brown-orange color, good off-white head and some lace. Citrusy, grassy, a bit fruity and yeasty aroma. Light-bodied. Grassy, citrusy-fruity hoppyness, pale malty. Quite standard De Proef APA/IPA house flavor here. Ok. Probably could be freshier.

Turquoise orange color with a creamy and pleasant shade of cinnamon-tone foam. Fruity aromas of peach, grapefruit, orange peel, spice touch and citrus and fruity hops. Slippery mouth with sweet citrus touches, ripe fruit and solid hops presence. Something dry again.

Aroma: not very intense aromas of mango, tropical fruits, grapefruit, grapes, citrus. Some not very pleasant but subtle aromas has arosen when swirled. Appearance: golden color, above average head thickness and retention. White and creamy foam. Hazy. Low Brussels’ lacing. Taste: medium sweetness, medium bitterness, low sourness. Nice flavors of tropical fruits, mango and grapefruit. Palate: light-to-medium body, watery-to-oily texture, low-to-medium carbonation, quite long bittersweet finish of tropical fruits, mango, grapefruit. Overall: not very intense aromas but nice flavors of tropical fruits, mango and grapefruit. Quite long bittersweet finish with the same kind of flavors. Very good appearance. Very drinkable and refreshing. Quite good and pleasant.
