2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Canned 1/14/16 and drunk 2/5/16.
Thanks Bobby and James for sharing! Been hearin’ a lot about Carton lately so it was good to finally try it.
Clear, dark beige-golden body has a thin, rapidly recedeing light beige head.
Smells like dunkin donuts coffee with cream and sugar in it and then also a bunch of booze. Which I guess is what it’s supposed to smell like?
Vapid, rather loose carbonation and a watery feel to the beer overall are the first things I notice. Also a bunch of sweet cream-caramel and alcohol. Oh and the coffee is just sort of there, but not particularly interesting or done with much finesse (though to be fair it’s also not overdone). Sweet, borderline cloying, pretty poor texture-wise and WTF is up with the abv??? Gratuitous much?? Probably not going to be drinking too much more Carton.....

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Sweet cheap old coffee flavor on the aroma. Appearance is a cloudy gold with a small head. Flavor is super sweet with low quality coffee flavor. Mouthfeel is medium with medium low carbonation. Overall, I wouldn't buy this beer again. High hype, low quality.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 ounce can. Amber orange color topped by a small frothy beige head. Sweet toasted malted aroma with coffee notes. Flavor is more sweet malt with caramel, coffee and vanilla notes. First sip really tastes like a regular coffee with cream and sugar. Some resiny hop notes, but the big alcohol warmth comes in to take control. Coffee flavor and vanilla stay with this brew all the way through. Quite different, but worth seeking out.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Canette 355ml.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Can shared by alexsdad06. Poured clear amber color with a moderate frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Medium coffee and balanced aroma. Medium to full body with a creamy texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy roasted sweet coffee flavor with a medium to heavy sweet finish of moderate to long duration. This is a solid beer.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
draft sample offering at the source..nitro pour so head was quite substantial in little taster and settled nicely..wow the color on this is insane for a 12% beer..light to medium tan/cream color with noticeable haze when held up to the light..floating particles abound..leaves a creamy white head atop..wow the aroma on this is crazy with sugar and coffee married nicely with some creamy marshmallow on the side..the mouthfeel is quite unique and borders on being a touch cloyingly sweet from the sugar I suppose but it does have that solid coffee character..sweet and low taste..don’t really taste the 12% on the initial sip but after a few minutes a little caffeinated heat kick warms the senses and this is an intriguiging beer for sure...would pair nicely with a good jersey pork roll/egg sandwich indeed...worth seeking out for sure..call it a gimmick beer but I thought it was pretty tasty and well thought out..

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz can from Nimbleprop shared with Tmoney99. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have sweet malts, creamy coffee, vanilla, lactose sugar, more Cafe latte, no way I would have guessed it was 12 %, perhaps a bit of oxidation, interesting to get the coffee from a blond beer.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
(Can, 0.355 l, at laiti’s, 20150613, thanks) The beer poured golden and hazy. Its head was small and white. Aroma had coffee with cream. Palate was medium bodied and warming with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, sweetness, coffee, fruitiness and bitterness. Aftertaste was boozy, sweet and bitter. A rather weird brew with strange aroma. A gimmick beer.
