Lähes musta, melko pienesti vaahtoava olut. Tuoksussa ensivaikutelmana varsin houkutteleva paahteisuus. Lisäksi havaittavissa kivasti lakritsisuutta sekä aavistuksen verran vaniljaisuutta ja savuista tuhkaisuutta. Maku paahteisen maltainen, hieman suklainen ja aavistuksen kahvinen sekä loppupuoleltaan jopa hieman greippisen katkera ennen kahvista, tuhkaista ja lakritsaista pitkää loppuliukua. Pehmeä suutuntuma, mutta runko on kuitenkin auttamatta liian ohut.

1.5.2014. Appearance is dark brown with big tight light brown long lasting head. Aroma is quite light with oat, chocolate and malts. Taste has oatmeal, roast, dark chocolate, dryness. Finish is dryish and a bit bitter. Very smooth. Good stout, some sweetness could do good although its great in its style.

Bottle. Dark brown colour with a beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, coffee, licorice. Flavour is roasted malt, oat, coffee, licorice. Nice beer.

Shared bottle, thanks to Bryne. Pours clear dark ruby with a small white head. Aroma of dark malts, roast and caramel. Taste is light sweet, with a decent dry finish

12oz bottle via Summer Secret Santa 2014. Pours an inky black with some sudsy, white head. Right out of the bottle the nose is a bit rubbery but thankfully that fades after a few minutes, then the roast dominates, toasty, toasted bread, bread crust, very gristy, some caramel and some oats. Mostly just inviting, like a glass of liquid toast. Flavor has some soured coffee notes, some mild cherry, a little black pepper, then malty notes through and through, gristy, bread crust, toast. Full bodied, lightly spritzy finish that distracts slightly. The oat malt lacks the creaminess that actual oats provide, but it amps up the breadiness.

Clear dark red brown color with a large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, oat, light chocolate, moderate coffee. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, roasted bitter, chocolate sweet, coffee, oat. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20140705]

Bottled, thanks oh6gdx! Dark brown, small, creamy head. Chocolate and caramel up front. Mid sweet with soft, soothing mouthfeel and medium body. Coffee and chocolate, notes of pepper. Mid bitter finish with more chocolate. Silky, rich and enjoyable.

Bottle. Black With a minimal lightbrown head. Malt, chocolate, Vanilla and dark fruits. Light bitter, medium sweet With a soft chocolate and roasted end.

Cola black beer with a dark beige head. Sweet liquorice and roastiness on the nose. Roasted coffee, liquorice and a nice balanced bitterness. Medium body, easy to drink. A really nice stout.

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Huge head with excellent duration. Color is dark brown. Aroma and taste are cocoa, roast malt, chocolate, coffee and hops.
