Commercial Description:
Great Divide brews Titan IPA for hop disciples -- independent beer drinkers seeking out robust, flavorful beers characterized by their abundance of hops, flavor, aroma and bitterness. As a big aggressively-hopped India Pale Ale, Titan IPA fills this bill -- beginning with piney hop aromas and citrus hop flavors, and finishing with a rich, malty sweetness that is carefully balanced with crisp hop bitterness. 65 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

In the bottle at the Beertopia Great Divide tasting. Pours a light orange gold with a strong lasting white head. Citrus hoppy aroma. Very well done and has a mouth bitterness that is not masked by excessive sweetness as is the Herakles version. A very good standard IPA!

2007: Excellent puffy head. Looks hazy. Amber/light-orange look. Actually appears to be a tad light. Nice Milky Way rings of lace. Nice, fragrant fruity hop scent. Hops are sweet and citrusy. Flowery perfume. Slightly bitter end. Very nice flowery hop taste. Sweet but not cloying. Slight bitter bite at the finish, but not harsh. Fitting. A little more bitter as it warms. Medium body, nice thick feel at the end swallow. Leaves a bit of a film (a good thing). Formidable but also not overpowering. A very nice, balanced IPA. Hoppy, but bitter/sweet. Repeats most welcome.

Pours a clear darker golden color with a thicker off white head. Aroma is of floral hops, a little citrus, and some slight pine. Flavors are pretty much the same. It does have a little more earthiness than I expected but it is a pleasant surprise. The ending of this brew is full of hops. An overall pleasant experience. Not that I ever doubted it.

This was a good IPA but I think I bought a bottle that was too old and some of the hoppiness wore off. It was 6 months old by the time I drank it. Still, good flavor and a nice hoppiness with a very smooth finish. Good beer overall, I’m going to search for a fresher one and see if I can get a stronger hop flavor.

Bottle. Hazy amber, big golden creamy head. Pine and peach, sweet perfume. Apricots, medium body, mellow mouthfeel, light catty finish. Falls of a hoppy edge in the end. Mhh dunno, I am not so keen on singulary hoppy beers anymore I guess.

bott.buona anche se la trovo molto simile a molte ipa americane che ormai si assomigliano tutte. aroma deciso floreale, fruttato. al gusto agrumata resina e luppolata quanto basta.comunque equlibrata e persistente.

Poured on tap at the Rake; 25th February 2010. Very dry IPA. Good mouth-feelm drinkability is good, alcohol quite well hidden, honey, caramel and long dry finish. Could do with a little more spices ala Westmalle. However a good beer and I enjoyed it. I think I have this bottled conditioned too.
