| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 24, 2008 This beer is higher in alcohol than most ales. At 6.8% ABV, it’s just enough to warrant respect but not high enough to leave a tell tale alcohol smell. The IPA has a nice tangy taste with a decent bitter finish. It’s a clean taste and is smooth sipping. The wheat blended into this beer makes this perfect for a nice warm day. It’s a nice contrast to the big IPA’s such as Dogfish Head 90-minute or Green Flash’s West Coast IPA. This is the type of IPA you could easily drink a few of. The overall experience isn’t really outstanding but then again I don’t think it was meant to be a knockout. This one is for enjoying and sharing with your friends on an easy going day. This beer gets a green light in my book and I’d certainly buy it again.

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 11, 2010 Having tried Mojo Rising, I thought I should try this one. Glad that I did. Nice amarillo hop aroma. Golden pour with a white head. Taste is malt and hops. It leaves a real nice hoppy aftertaste, which lingered for awhile. A nice IPA overall. Nice lacing. humann_brewing (11), California, USA

| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Mar 11, 2010 22 oz. bottle from Total Wine in Chesapeake, VA. Hazy yellowish-orange pour with a thick off-white head. Enticing aroma of pineapple, grapefruit rind, tangerines, and pine needles. Bitter citrus hop flavor. Very well balanced but with enough hoppiness to please my palate. I’m pretty sure I’ve had this before but I don’t remember liking this as much as I’m enjoying it this time. A bit of a surprise, but this is an exceptional IPA. beer4bears (18), Ontario, Canada
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 10, 2010 Bottle. Amber colour, just off clear with a thin head dissipating to a lasting lace. Floral and citrus hops on the nose and through palate. Malts tend to caramel, but its the hop that primarily comes through. Medium body with lively carbonation, slightly sticky palate, and a (pleasingly) bitter finish. thekmoonlegend (115), Lynn, Massachusetts, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 1, 2010 From the bottle. Poured a bright amber color, looked great for a IPA. Aroma was hoppy as expected, but with some serious citrus notes and a bit flowery. This beer differentiated itself from other IPA’s with the taste: the bold citrus flavor combines nicely with the hops. Strong finish with a lingering bitterness that is not too overpowering. A very interesting and refreshing take on the IPA. BMan1113VR (3349), Los Angeles (and Dallas), Texas, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 13, 2010 Bottle thanks to jbye4334. Pours with a clear, pale bronze body and a large white head. Aroma of tropical fruits and light herbaceous notes. A bit of crystal malt and dry grain. Nice Amarillo showcase. Taste is clean and hoppy with a nice caramel backbone and a touch of alcohol presence. Lots of tropical fruit. Loving the amarillo. Creamy mouthfeel. Very nice IPA. bedainedebiere (362), Terrebonne, Quebec, Canada
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 13, 2010 Bottle. Great aroma I even smelled while pouring... Tastebud-killer hoppinness. Amarillo’s citrusyness really makes this one intense and destructive. Maniac stuff. A bit like some crazy alpine skiing trails, my head wanted to say "I like that extreme crazyness" but my body says "wo, that’s too much..." curly (1071), Fort Collins, Colorado, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 10, 2010 Mostly clear orange, frothy white head recedes. Aroma is dank pine resin, toffee, and a good mix of tropical fruit/citrus. Taste is brutally bitter all the way from start to finish but has good malt thickness to back it up. Very bold and rich.
