Commercial Description:
Bottle: Filtered.
Ingredients: Water, Barley Malt, Hops & Hop extract.
Sold as Münchner Hell in Germany, München in the UK and Premium in North America.
This beer is our speciality. In 1894 Spaten became the first brewery in Munich to produce this brand of light lager. Golden in color with a well-balanced hop-flavor. The full rounded body is a superb balance between hops and a malty sweetness.

Inviting gold appearance. low carbonation with a very pleasant maltiness that doesn’t take over but is still present. Full bodied and quite powerful.

Personnally I am not a big fan of Dortmunders, but this one is okay. Pours a very pale yellow, almost clear. It is much cleaner than most Dortmunders, sweet with a touch of bitterness. High carbonation bubbles in the mouth. Overall not bad, but not my tea.

Bottled, clear yellow with bright white head, grassy hops with slight papery aroma and light bready malt character, crisp clean flavor with light malt and grassy hops noted, full bodied palate with appropriate level of carbonation for flavor/style wihout being too watery

Crystal clear golden yellow with a short-lived bright white head and lacing. Barnyard graininess with a touch of lemon on the nose. Slight skunk. Mild biscuity malts and a hint of bitterness on the tongue. Light body, generous carbonation, and a dryish hops note in the aftertaste.

12oz bottle. Pours a normal golden lager color with lots of carbonation and a bubbly, short lived head. Smells like hay. Tastes of hay with a metallic undertone. Not too offensive. Quite refreshing. Not the worst by any means.

Draught (at Bavarian Bier Cafe in Manly, Sydney). A clear gold with a large white head. A herbal hop nose. Creamy mouthfeel, some citrus hop with a clean finish.

Mini-keg. Yellow-gold, thin white head. Corn, grainy cereal, malty and a touch of grass. Surprsingly sweet, a little too sweet, but otherwise drinkable and decent enough. No skunk.

Bottle. Clear gold, white carbonation. Fresh grains, corn, cereal grains, mild malt sweetness, moderate dose of earthy and bitter hops. Light body, easy, finishes a touch dry. Decent lager.
